
Michal Pazour graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Public Administration at the University of Economics in Prague, from which he obtained PhD degree in the field of economic policy in 2008.
Before he joined TC AS CR, he worked at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic (2004 – 2007), where he participated in formulating the Innovation Strategy for Industry and Enterprise, National Innovation Policy, Strategy of Economic Development and National Reform Programme and in designing supporting programmes of the MIT focused on promoting innovation activities in businesses and on developing innovation infrastructure in the CR. Michal also cooperated with OECD experts in formulating recommendation for innovation policy in the Czech Republic.
Michal is INNO Policy-Trendchart correspondent for the Czech Republic, member of the UNECE expert group in the project “Financing for Innovative Development” and member of the project team in observatoryNANO project (FP7), which is focused on technology and socio-economic impact of nanotechnologies. He also acted as an external auditor for methodology assessment of R&D and innovation statistics provided by the Czech Statistical Office. Recently, Michal participated in elaborating Green and White Paper on research, development and innovation in the CR, which became the main background documents for governmental reform of the Czech RDI system and for the new National RDI Policy 2009 – 2015.
